§ 39801 School District Transportation Contracts

Key Takeaways

  • •Schools can ask the county to help with school buses.
  • •The county can then do everything the school could do for buses.
  • •This is like hiring someone to do your job for you.

Example

A small school doesn’t have enough buses for all the kids.

The school can make a deal with the county to use their buses instead. The county then takes over all the bus stuff, like making sure there are enough buses and drivers.
