§ 37614 Continuous School Program Ballot

Key Takeaways

  • •The ballot for a continuous school program must clearly ask voters if they want the program, with 'Yes' and 'No' options.
  • •If most voters say 'Yes,' the school district can start and keep running the program until they decide to stop it.
  • •If most voters say 'No,' the school district cannot start the program.

Example

A school district wants to start a year-round school program without long summer breaks.

The district puts it to a vote. If more people vote 'Yes,' the program starts and continues until the district ends it. If more vote 'No,' the program doesn’t start at all.
