• •If a disabled person who was getting money for their disability dies, the leftover money doesn't just disappear.
• •The money goes to their family first, if the family was already getting help from the same program.
• •If there's no family getting help, the money goes to whoever was supposed to get money after the person died.

A worker gets hurt on the job and starts receiving monthly payments for their disability. After a few months, they pass away, but there are still 3 months' worth of payments that haven't been given to them yet.

Those 3 months of unpaid money won't be lost. If the worker's spouse or kids were already getting family support from the same program, they'll get the leftover money. If not, the money will go to whoever the worker named to receive money after their death.
