§ 24601 Estimated Payments For Claims

Key Takeaways

  • •If the system doesn't have all the info it needs to pay the right amount, it can pay an estimate instead.
  • •The system can ask for money based on the info it has, even if it's not complete.
  • •The Controller will then pay out the estimated amount.

Example

If you submit a form for benefits but forget to include some papers, the system can still give you an estimated payment based on what you did send.

The system doesn't have to wait for all your papers to help you out. It can guess how much you should get and pay you that amount first.
