§ 20002 Library Construction Finance Committee

Key Takeaways

  • •There is a special group called the 'committee' that helps decide how to use money for building and fixing libraries in California.
  • •Another group called the 'board' is in charge of making sure the money for library buildings is used the right way.
  • •These groups were created to help libraries get the money they need for construction and repairs.

Example

Imagine your local library is old and needs a new roof and more space for books.

The 'committee' and the 'board' would work together to decide if your library can get money from the state to fix the roof and add more space. They make sure the money is used correctly for these kinds of projects.
