§ 19986 Library Construction Definitions

Key Takeaways

  • •This law defines special groups and terms for library building projects in California.
  • •There's a 'Committee' that helps decide how to spend money on fixing or building libraries.
  • •There's a 'Fund' which is like a piggy bank specifically for library construction and repairs.
  • •A 'Board' of important people, including some from the government, makes big decisions about the money and projects.

Example

Your local library is old and needs a new roof and more space for books.

The 'Committee' and 'Board' would look at this problem and decide if they can use money from the 'Fund' to fix the roof and add more space. They make sure the money is used the right way for libraries all over California.
