§ 1923 Transfer Of Emergency School Property

Key Takeaways

  • •The county school boss can sell or give away stuff from an emergency school to a regular school or local government.
  • •The county school board must agree to this sale or transfer.
  • •The school or local government getting the stuff must also agree to the deal.
  • •Any money made from selling the stuff goes into a special county school fund.

Example

An emergency school has extra desks and computers it doesn’t need anymore.

The county school boss can sell these desks and computers to a nearby elementary school if both the county school board and the elementary school agree. The money from selling the desks and computers would then go into a fund for county school services.
