§ 18338 Library District Establishment Evidence

Key Takeaways

  • •When a petition to create a library district is approved, it gets recorded in official meeting notes.
  • •The recorded approval proves that the petition was properly signed by residents and taxpayers of the area.
  • •The recording also proves that all the steps before the approval were done correctly.
  • •Once recorded, the library district is officially valid and exists.

Example

A group of people in a town want to create a new library district.

They collect signatures from residents and taxpayers and submit a petition. If the board of supervisors approves it, the approval is written in their meeting notes. This written record proves that everything was done correctly, and the library district is now officially created.
