§ 14043 County School Fund Distribution

This law says that when the state gives money to counties for schools, the county must put that money into the right school funds right away.

Key Takeaways

  • •Counties can't hold onto school money from the state—they have to pass it along fast.
  • •The money must go to the exact funds the state says, like school service funds or district funds.
  • •This makes sure schools get their money on time and it’s used the right way.

Example

The state sends $100,000 to a county for local schools.

The county must quickly split this money and put it into the correct school funds, like the county school service fund or the school district's general fund, exactly as the state says.
