This law says the state must give each school an extra payment each year that equals 14 cents for every student counted in the average daily attendance of the previous year.

Key Takeaways

  • •The money comes from the state’s General Fund.
  • •The amount is fixed at fourteen cents per pupil.
  • •It is calculated using the average daily attendance from the prior fiscal year.
  • •All elementary, high, unified districts and county superintendents get the payment.
