§ 7516 Member Action Without Meeting

Key Takeaways

  • •Members can make decisions without having a meeting if everyone agrees in writing.
  • •All written agreements must be kept with the group's official records.
  • •A decision made this way is as strong as if everyone voted 'yes' in a meeting.

Example

A group of friends running a small club needs to decide on buying new equipment.

Instead of calling a meeting, they can all sign a paper saying they agree to buy the equipment. This paper is then kept with the club's records, and the decision is just as valid as if they had all voted 'yes' in a meeting.
