§ 7860 Geologist Discipline Procedures

Key Takeaways

  • •The board can check if a geologist or geophysicist did something wrong, even if no one complains.
  • •If they break rules, the board can punish them by warning, suspending, or taking away their license.
  • •Punishments happen for things like lying, doing bad work, breaking contracts, or helping others break rules.
  • •The board decides what’s ‘bad behavior’ and can punish for that too.

Example

A geologist lies on their license application to get certified.

The board can find out, investigate, and take away their license because lying to get certified is against the rules.
