§ 6584 Professional Fiduciary Discipline Grounds

Key Takeaways

  • •If a professional fiduciary (someone who manages money or property for others) breaks the law, especially in a way that relates to their job, they can lose their license.
  • •They must tell the bureau if they are convicted of a crime, or they could lose their license.
  • •Lying to get a license, doing a bad job, or not following the rules can get their license taken away.
  • •If they don’t follow court orders or pay fines related to their job, they can also lose their license.

Example

A professional fiduciary is caught stealing money from an elderly person they were supposed to be helping.

This is a crime related to their job, so their license can be taken away because they broke the rules and were dishonest.
