§ 19209 Hearing And Disciplinary Procedures

• •This law says that most hearings or punishments must follow the rules in another part of the law (Chapter 5 of Part 1 of Division 3 of Title 2 of the Government Code).
• •If there’s a special rule in Article 9.5, that rule comes first.
• •It’s about making sure things are fair and done the right way in hearings or when someone is in trouble.

If a teacher is accused of doing something wrong at school and there’s a hearing to decide what happens next.

The hearing must follow the usual rules for fairness, unless there’s a special rule in Article 9.5 that says to do something different.
