§ 11214 Developer Time-Share Responsibilities

Key Takeaways

  • •The person or company selling time-shares is in charge of everything about selling them, like ads, contracts, and closing the deal.
  • •If someone working for the seller does something wrong while selling, the seller is also in trouble, not just the person who did it.

Example

A company hires a salesperson to sell time-shares. The salesperson lies to a customer about what they’re buying.

The company is responsible for the lie, even if they didn’t tell the salesperson to do it. Both the salesperson and the company can get in trouble.
