§ 18257 Federal Financial Participation Maximization

Key Takeaways

  • •The state wants as many kids as possible to get help from federal money for programs that support them.
  • •If there are rules that limit how many kids can join these programs, the state will change them.
  • •The goal is to make sure more kids can get the help they need.

Example

A program that gives free meals to kids after school.

If the program only lets 100 kids join, but 200 kids need the meals, the state will try to change the rules so all 200 kids can get the meals.
