§ 18235 Employment Support Demonstration Projects

Key Takeaways

  • •This law is about a special project to help people get jobs.
  • •The project must offer different kinds of help, like child care, rides, and help with mental health or drug problems.
  • •The project can't just be about finding a job—it has to include other helpful stuff too.
  • •The project can't take away money from other services that people already get.

Example

Imagine a single mom who wants to work but needs help with child care and a ride to her job.

This law says the project must help her with child care and rides, not just tell her to find a job. It also can't cut money from other programs she might need.
