§ 10076 Federal Approval Implementation

This law says the state must get permission from the federal government to put certain rules into action. If permission is needed, the rule starts 120 days after getting the okay and stops if the federal government says no later.

Key Takeaways

  • •The state can't start some rules until the federal government says yes.
  • •If the federal government agrees, the rule starts 120 days later.
  • •If the federal government later takes back their approval, the rule stops.

Example

Imagine your state wants to give people more money for healthcare, but the federal government has to agree first.

The state asks for permission, and if they get it, the new healthcare money rule starts 120 days later. If the federal government later says no, the rule stops.
