§ 9010 Assessment Payment Compensation Rules

Key Takeaways

  • •If the government or a person gets paid money under this law, they must use it to pay for a specific project or piece of land.
  • •The money can't be used for anything else—it has to go toward the cost of that project or land.
  • •This rule applies to both cities (municipal corporations) and regular people.

Example

A city gets $10,000 from the state to fix a park.

The city must use that $10,000 only for the park repairs, not for anything else like fixing roads or paying salaries.
