§ 8950 Drainage District Fund Deposits

• •Money collected from sales or other sources must go to the county treasurer where the land is located.
• •The county treasurer must send this money to the State Treasury within one month.
• •The money is kept in a special fund called the Sacramento and San Joaquin Drainage District Fund.
• •The treasurer must note which assessment the money came from.

A farmer sells some land in Sacramento County.

The money from the sale must first go to the Sacramento County treasurer. Then, within a month, the treasurer sends it to the State Treasury and puts it in the Sacramento and San Joaquin Drainage District Fund. The treasurer also writes down which sale the money came from.
