§ 8858 Delinquent Installment Penalties

Key Takeaways

  • •If you don't pay your bill within 30 days after it's due, it's considered late.
  • •When your payment is late, you'll also owe extra money (interest) on top of what you already owe.
  • •The interest keeps adding up until you pay the late bill.

Example

You get a bill for $100 on January 1st, and it says you have to pay by February 1st. You forget to pay it until March.

Since you didn't pay by February 1st, your bill is now late. You'll have to pay the original $100 plus extra money (interest) for being late.
