§ 8779 Benefited Land Preliminary Report

Key Takeaways

  • •Experts check the plans and costs of a project first.
  • •They tell the board which nearby lands will get better because of the project.
  • •This helps decide who should pay for the project.

Example

The city wants to build a new park with a playground and walking paths.

The experts look at the park plans and costs. They then tell the city which nearby houses and buildings will benefit from the park. The owners of these places might have to help pay for the park because it makes their property nicer.
