§ 8742 Board Discretionary Notice Authority

Key Takeaways

  • •The board can send extra notices if they want to.
  • •They can use mail, ads, or other ways to tell people about their decisions or meetings.
  • •This is optional—they don’t have to do it, but they can if they think it’s a good idea.

Example

The board decides to raise fees for a local park.

They might send letters to people’s homes or put an ad in the newspaper to let everyone know about the fee increase, even if they don’t have to.
