§ 8555 Board Vice President Election

• •The board can pick a vice president from its members.
• •The president of the board cannot be the vice president at the same time.
• •This rule was added a long time ago, in 1943.

Imagine a school board with 5 members, including a president named Jane.

The board can choose someone else, like John, to be vice president. But Jane cannot be vice president because she is already the president.
