§ 75601 Amending Groundwater Reports

Key Takeaways

  • •The board can change a water report anytime during the water year and must send it to the secretary.
  • •The secretary must tell everyone about the changed report and set up a public meeting within 30 days.
  • •At the meeting, people can talk about water conditions and say if they agree or disagree with the report.
  • •The board can change water fees if they think it's needed after the meeting.

Example

Imagine your town has a report about how much water everyone is using. The people in charge realize they made a mistake in the report.

They can fix the report and tell everyone about the changes. Then, they hold a meeting where people can say if they think the water fees should be higher or lower based on the new report.
