§ 7033 Conduit Construction Standards Compliance

Key Takeaways

  • •If you build or upgrade a pipe or tunnel that crosses or runs along a road, you have to follow the rules set by the county or state.
  • •You have to pay for all the costs of building or upgrading the pipe or tunnel yourself.
  • •This applies to everyone, including people, companies, and government groups.

Example

A company wants to put a new water pipe under a road to supply water to a new housing area.

The company must follow the county's rules for how deep to bury the pipe, what materials to use, and other safety standards. The company also has to pay for all the work themselves, even though the pipe crosses a public road.
