§ 6202 Dam Application Requirements

Key Takeaways

  • •You must tell the government your name and address if you want to build a dam.
  • •You have to describe exactly where the dam will be, how big it will be, and how much water it will hold.
  • •You need to share info about the land around the dam, like how much it rains there and if floods happen.

Example

A farmer wants to build a small dam on their land to create a pond for their animals.

The farmer must fill out a form telling the government their name, where the dam will be, how big it will be, and how much water it will hold. They also need to share info about rain and floods in that area.
