§ 22078 District Water Use Authority

Key Takeaways

  • •A district can manage water in many ways, like storing, cleaning, or reusing it.
  • •This includes even dirty water (like sewage) if it can be made useful.
  • •The goal is to help the people or places that have rights to the water.

Example

A town collects rainwater and dirty water from sinks and toilets.

The town can clean the dirty water and save the rainwater to use later for watering plants or filling up lakes. This helps everyone in town have enough water.
