§ 2048 Expense Apportionment Judgment

Key Takeaways

  • •If people argue about who should pay for something, a judge will decide what's fair.
  • •The judge will make a final decision on how much each person has to pay.
  • •The judge's decision will be written down officially, and people will have to follow it.

Example

Imagine you and your neighbors share a fence, and it needs to be fixed. You all argue about who should pay for it.

A judge will listen to everyone and decide how much each neighbor should pay. The judge will write this down, and each neighbor will have to pay their share.
