§ 155 Governor Water Commission Appointments

Key Takeaways

  • •The Governor picks people to be on the California Water Commission.
  • •The Senate has to say 'yes' to these picks before they can officially join.
  • •If the Senate says 'no' or doesn't do anything, the spot stays empty.

Example

The Governor picks a scientist to help decide how water is used in California.

The Senate must agree with this pick. If they don’t, the scientist can’t join the team, and the spot stays open until someone else is picked and approved.
