§ 1391 Permit Conditions For Water Use

• •If you get permission to use water, you must follow all the rules listed in that permission.
• •The rules in your permission are the same as the big rules in this law.
• •You can't say you didn't know the rules—if you get the permission, you agree to follow them.

A farmer gets a permit to use river water for crops.

The permit says the farmer can only take water at certain times and in certain amounts. If the farmer takes too much water or at the wrong time, they are breaking the rules in the permit and this law.
