§ 12410 Statewide Water Data Platform

This law says California must create a website to share all water and nature data from different agencies in one place. It sets deadlines for when this must happen.

Key Takeaways

  • •California must make a single website for all water and nature data.
  • •The website must include data from state and federal agencies.
  • •The data must be added step by step, with deadlines between 2018 and 2020.
  • •The state can work with nonprofits or other agencies to build this website.

Example

A farmer wants to check water levels in their area to plan crops.

Instead of searching many websites, they can go to one place to find all the water data they need.
