§ 11254 Stockton Water Transfer Exemption

This law says that special deals between the state and the City of Stockton about the 'Old Hogan' dam and water delivery don't have to follow the usual rules that limit other contracts.

Key Takeaways

  • •This law is only about deals between the state and the City of Stockton.
  • •It’s specifically for agreements about the Old Hogan dam and water delivery.
  • •These special deals don’t have to follow the normal contract rules.

Example

The City of Stockton and the state make a deal about how much water the city can take from the Old Hogan dam.

Normally, there are strict rules about how these kinds of deals can be made, but this law says those rules don’t apply here. So, they can make their own special agreement without worrying about the usual limits.
