Key Takeaways

  • •The DMV can charge a fee to approve driving classes for older drivers.
  • •The company running the class must teach it properly and not give out certificates to people who didn’t finish.
  • •If the company breaks the rules, like charging too much or giving out fake certificates, the DMV can take away its approval.

Example

A company offers a driving class for seniors and wants the DMV to approve it.

The DMV can charge a fee to check and approve the class. If the company gives out certificates to people who didn’t finish the class, the DMV can cancel its approval.
