§ 1670 Business Premises Division Requirements

• •If you have a business license for working on cars or car parts, and you do more than one kind of car business in the same place, you must clearly separate the different types of work.
• •Your business must let police officers or inspectors check your workplace, records, and vehicles during work hours if they ask.
• •This rule is for businesses that fix, sell, or work on cars or car parts.

You own a shop that sells car tires and also fixes car engines.

You must have a clear wall or divider between the tire sales area and the engine repair area. If a police officer comes during work hours, you must let them look around, check your records, and inspect the cars you’re working on.
