§ 90953 Annexation Boundary Approval Process

Key Takeaways

  • •If you don't speak up in writing against a plan to change district boundaries, it means you agree with it.
  • •The board will listen to all complaints about the plan before deciding.
  • •If you don't say anything, they'll assume you're okay with the changes.

Example

Your neighborhood is going to be added to a new school district, but you don’t like the new schools.

If you don’t write to the board saying you don’t want the change, they’ll think you’re fine with it and approve the new boundaries.
