§ 846 Financing Order Expiration

Key Takeaways

  • •The commission could only make special money orders until June 30, 2022.
  • •Old orders made before that date still work and people still have to follow them.
  • •The commission can still watch over and manage those old orders.

Example

Imagine the commission made a rule in 2020 that lets a power company charge extra money to pay for old projects.

Even though the commission can't make new rules like this after June 30, 2022, the 2020 rule still stands. The power company can keep charging that extra money, and the commission can still check to make sure everything is done right.
