§ 50006 Transit Property Definition

Key Takeaways

  • •Transit works or facilities include everything the district owns or will own for transit service.
  • •This can be things like land, buildings, equipment, or even rights to use something.
  • •It covers both things you can see (like buses) and things you can't (like rights to use a road).

Example

A city buys new buses and builds a bus depot.

The buses and the depot are both considered transit works because the city owns them and uses them for transit service.
