§ 30961 Hearing Notice Publication Requirements

Key Takeaways

  • •Before a hearing happens, the government must tell people about it.
  • •They do this by putting a notice in a local newspaper.
  • •The notice must say why the hearing is needed.

Example

The city wants to build a new park and needs to talk to people about it.

They have to put an ad in the newspaper saying there will be a meeting to discuss the park. This way, everyone knows and can go if they want.
