§ 29293 Revenue Bond Income Pledge

Key Takeaways

  • •The district can use money it gets from certain sources to pay for special bonds or equipment certificates.
  • •This money can be promised (pledged) to pay back these bonds or certificates, even if other laws say something different.
  • •The promised money is treated as income for the project, no matter what other rules say.

Example

Imagine a school district gets money from the state for building a new school. They want to borrow more money by selling bonds to finish the project.

The district can promise to use the money they already get from the state to pay back the bonds. Even if other laws say they can't do this, this law lets them do it anyway.
