§ 29156 Local Government Report Approval

Key Takeaways

  • •After a public meeting, the board has 15 days to decide if they like the reports.
  • •The board must vote, and most of them must agree to approve the reports.
  • •They have to send a signed copy of their decision to the secretary of the district.

Example

Imagine your school had a meeting about new rules for the playground. The teachers (like the board) have to talk about it and vote.

After the meeting, the teachers have 15 days to decide if they like the new rules. Most of them have to say 'yes' to approve the rules. Then, they have to send a signed paper with their decision to the principal (the secretary).
