§ 27293 Exclusion From District Petition

• •You can ask to leave a special district if you don’t think it helps you.
• •You must explain why you want to leave and show the area you want to exclude.
• •Your request must say that your area won’t benefit from being in the district.

A group of homeowners in a small town don’t want to be part of a new water district because they already have their own wells.

They can write a request saying their wells work fine and they don’t need the district’s water. They must describe their neighborhood’s boundaries and explain why being in the district doesn’t help them.
