§ 24831 Election Results Certification

Key Takeaways

  • •After votes are counted, a group called the 'board of supervisors' checks the results.
  • •They decide who won the election.
  • •They officially say who the winner is.

Example

Imagine your school has an election for class president. After everyone votes, the teachers count the votes and announce who won.

In this law, the 'board of supervisors' is like the teachers. They check the votes and tell everyone who won the election.
