• •People running for a big area (like the whole district) can ask everyone in that area to sign their papers to support them.
• •People running for a smaller area (like a ward) can only ask people in that small area to sign their papers.
• •You can't ask people outside your area to sign if you're running for a specific small part.

Imagine your school is picking a class president for the whole school and also leaders for each grade.

If you want to be class president, you can ask all kids in the school to sign your paper. But if you want to be the leader for just 5th grade, you can only ask 5th graders to sign.
