§ 11863 Director Terms Commencement

• •Directors elected in the first election start their jobs right after the election results are officially filed with the Secretary of State.
• •They must follow the rules to qualify for their position before starting.
• •Directors elected later start their jobs on January 1st after they are elected.

A group of people vote for the first time to choose directors for their new community organization.

The directors who win the election start working right away once the results are officially filed. If more directors are elected later, they start on January 1st of the next year.
