§ 103511 District Government Code Application

• •The district must follow the same rules that are in Article 4 of the Government Code.
• •Those rules start at Section 53500 and go on from there.
• •Anything the Government Code says for districts applies here too.

The Government Code says a district must hold a public meeting before raising taxes. Because of this law, the district has to follow that same rule.

Since the district is required to use the same rules from the Government Code, it must hold the public meeting just like any other district that follows that code.
