§ 100463 Vta Agreement Conflict Prohibition

This law says any contracts, leases, or equipment financing papers must not go against the main trust agreement that backs VTA bonds or notes.

Key Takeaways

  • •All related contracts must match the trust agreement that secures VTA financing.
  • •If a contract conflicts with that trust agreement, it can't be used.
  • •This applies to agreements, leases, and equipment trust certificates tied to VTA bonds, notes, or certificates.

Example

A city leases a new train car that was bought with VTA bonds.

The lease has to follow the rules in the trust agreement for those bonds; if the lease tried to let the city use the train for something the trust agreement forbids, the lease would be invalid.
