§ 1700 Definition Of Person

This law explains who counts as a 'person' in this part of the law. It includes regular people, companies, and groups.

Key Takeaways

  • •A 'person' isn't just one human—it can be a company, group, or even someone working for them.
  • •If a business does something wrong, the law can punish the whole business, not just one worker.
  • •This rule helps make sure everyone, big or small, follows the same laws.

Example

If a big company breaks a rule in this part of the law, they can be held responsible just like a single person would.

The law treats companies and groups the same as individuals when it comes to following these rules.
