§ 1015 Forging Union Labor Labels

This law says you can't fake a union label to trick people into buying something. It's like putting a fake 'Made by Union Workers' sticker on a product that wasn't actually made by them.

Key Takeaways

  • •You can't fake a union label to sell stuff.
  • •Doing this can get you fined up to $1,000 or put in jail for up to 90 days.
  • •You need real permission from the union to use their label.

Example

Someone makes shirts in their garage and puts a fake union label on them to sell them for more money.

This is illegal because the shirts weren't made by union workers, and the person is trying to trick buyers.
