§ 80900 State Claims Payment Limits

(a) Claims approved by the Department of General Services pursuant to this chapter shall be paid from the state account. (b) The Legislature may appropriate up to two million dollars ($2,000,000) annually from the state account to be used by the Department of General Services for the payment of awards pursuant to this chapter. (c) Claims against or presented to the Department of General Services shall not be paid in excess of the amount of money appropriated for this purpose from the state account. These claims shall be paid only when additional money is collected, appropriated, or otherwise added to that account. (Added by Stats. 2022, Ch. 257, Sec. 2. (AB 2293) Effective January 1, 2023. Operative January 1, 2024, pursuant to Sec. 4 of Stats. 2022, Ch. 257.)
